Why is Customer discovery so important especially before you build anything?

Well one of the top 3 mistakes that startups/new businesses encounter is building something nobody wants.

More startups fail from a lack of customers that from product or tech failure.

Hence, customer discovery is a necessary prerequisite to building a minimum viable product (MVP). I mean you don’t want to build a product no one wants right?! 😬

🤝 Key Outcomes of the challenge: At the end of this you will have discovered problem solution fit and be able to distinctly  describe the personas that will be using your product.

👀 Who is this for?

Everyone is welcome to join! You don't need to have a tech, or business background. We just want to help you build your business one step at a time!

This is a 3-week sprint focused on customer discovery. It begins at 9 AM (Central) on the 31st of May, 2021, and ends with a closing event at 12 PM on June 18th.

This community sprint event are project-based challenges that can be done with fellow beta collective members. If you have been putting off building your company, we hope initiatives like this will help you jump-start the process. We essentially want to help you all build businesses we did say we wanted to make an economic impact after all!

🖥 So for today's challenge: 🥁🥁🥁

Create the first part of your business thesis. To do this you have to answer the following questions:

  1. What do we do as a company?
  2. Who is our customer?
  3. Why will customers buy our products?

At the end of the day we ask that you share what you have discovered with us in the slack channel. And if you have some difficulty with the challenge we can help out.
